Tanzania Bush Camps - Central Serengeti
Located in the heart of Serengeti National Park, Tanzania Bush Camps – Central Serengeti offers an intimate tented safari experience surrounded by some of Tanzania’s most wildlife-rich landscapes.
The camp is situated around 15 km north of the Seronera area, renowned for excellent year-round wildlife viewing and particularly strong populations of big cats. Its central location makes it an ideal base for exploring the Serengeti while remaining close to permanent water sources and productive game-viewing areas.
The camp features 12 spacious luxury en-suite tents, each designed to combine authentic bush living with modern comfort. Tents include comfortable beds, private verandas, en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets and hot running showers, solar lighting, and views across the surrounding wilderness.
Guests can relax in the spacious lounge and dining areas, enjoy evenings around the campfire, or take part in a range of safari experiences including game drives, bush meals, sundowners and hot-air balloon safaris.
Wildlife & Seasons
- June – October: The dry season brings excellent wildlife viewing as animals gather around permanent water sources. The Central Serengeti remains particularly strong for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes and large herds of plains game.
- November – December: The short rains transform the plains into lush green landscapes. Migratory birds arrive in large numbers, and wildlife remains abundant around the Seronera region.
- January – March: The main wildebeest herds are generally farther south toward Ndutu for the calving season, but Central Serengeti continues to offer excellent resident wildlife and predator sightings throughout this period.
- April – May: The long rains create dramatic skies, green scenery and fewer visitors. Some roads can become muddy, but wildlife viewing remains rewarding and this can be a beautiful time for photography.
- Year-round: Central Serengeti is one of the most reliable wildlife areas in the Serengeti, with resident populations of lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, hyena and numerous antelope species throughout the year.
