Nimali Tarangire
Set on its own private conservancy on the eastern border of Tarangire National Park, Nimali Tarangire is an intimate luxury safari camp surrounded by acacia woodland, ancient baobab trees and a seasonal riverbed.
With just eight elegant tented suites, the camp combines contemporary safari luxury with elements inspired by local Maasai culture. Every suite features an en-suite bathroom and a private deck overlooking the wilderness, while the two spacious family suites include two bedrooms, a connecting lounge and their own private plunge pool.

Wildlife & Seasons
- June – October: The dry season is one of the most rewarding periods for wildlife viewing in Tarangire, as large numbers of animals gather around permanent water sources. Huge elephant herds are a particular highlight.
- November – March: The landscape becomes greener following the seasonal rains, with excellent birdlife, newborn animals and fewer visitors.
- April – May: These are traditionally the long-rain months. The landscape is lush and green, although some roads and safari activities can be affected by weather conditions.
- Year-round: Tarangire supports elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, antelope and more than 500 species of birds. Nimali’s current official information lists the camp as open throughout the year.

Nimali Tarangire is situated on a private conservancy along the eastern border of Tarangire National Park, overlooking a seasonal riverbed surrounded by acacia trees and iconic baobabs. Its location provides the feeling of being deep in the wilderness while remaining easily accessible from Arusha.
Tarangire is one of northern Tanzania’s most distinctive safari destinations, known especially for its enormous elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and extraordinary birdlife. During the dry season, wildlife congregates around the Tarangire River and other remaining water sources, creating excellent game-viewing opportunities.
The camp is approximately 2.5 hours by road from Arusha. Guests arriving by air can also use Randelien Airstrip, just around 10 minutes from the lodge. Manyara Airstrip is approximately 1.5 hours away, while Kilimanjaro International Airport is around a 3.5-hour road transfer.
Its position also makes Nimali Tarangire an excellent first or final stop on a Northern Tanzania safari, combining naturally with Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti.
